Automated email firing using Oracle 8i

Hi,
can someone plz explain the procedures/Triggers required to send an automated email notification when a new data is inserted into the records.

Normally, people posting programming questions in this forum get the following message:

In this case however, you question has little to do with Java either, so I don't think this site has much to offer you. Perhaps your best bet is to ask in our JDBC forum if anyone known a good resource for getting help in Oracle. Sending e-mail can be done through Java - you can ask about that in our "Other APIs" forum. Good luck.
