Hi,

I'm using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser to parse an XML file, while doing so in case of validation failure, i'm logging the informations like column number, line number and message from SAXException object( using getMessage(), getLineNumber(), getColumnNumber() methods).

In addition to the above information i also want to log the xml tag name which failed validation, so that it will be easy to analyze the log.

Please advise.

Thanks

The simplest thing to do would be to have the startElement() method record the current element name in an instance variable visible to your SAXException handling code.
