We're giving away four more books. This time our winners will have a chance to pick between "Planning Extreme Programming (The XP Series" by by Kent Beck, Martin Fowler, Jennifer Kohnke (Illustrator) or "Extreme Programming Installed(The XP Series)" by Ron Jeffries, Ann Anderson, Chet Hendrickson, Ronald Jeffries.
The authors will also be hanging around here to answer questions you might have on Extreme Programming.
To be qualified for the books, there is a bit of judging and a lot of random.
The judging part is: Only messages of substance relating to this forum will be counted. Questions are counted unless they have already been asked within the last week. Answers are counted (even if you are answering the same question in different threads). Messages that just says "Thanks" are not counted. Messages about the contest don't count. Messages authored by an account with an improper name won't count. (proper names are first name, space and last name).
The more you participate, the better your chances of winning.
Some time on Friday we will gather up all the names of valid entries and stuff them in a text file. Then we will have a random number generator pick four of them. We'll get the e-mail addresses of the four winners and ask them for their mailing address, which book they want and VOILA! - One of the Extreme Programming books will be headed your way.

My goodness. Are you really there, Sir Martin ? I am ardent fan of yours. Great many thanks to you for writing such wonderful books like UML Distilled ,which I recommends to each & everyone who wants tostart with UML. There is no book other than yours to start with for uml. I have your another book " Refactoring " also. It is also greatest book. Even Our Sherriff Paul will be agreeing with this. He is also a fan of that book. Isn't it , Paul ?

Congratulations for having such a wonderful book with one of the actual implementor ( first , if I have not mistaken , If i have not mistaken ROn was working on C3 Project full time ). How was the experience of writing book with giant like ROn Jeffries ? what was the motoivation behind this book ? what is your message for xp community from this book ?

Thank you. Actually, Martin and I were working on C3 prior to Ron's arrival, and I stayed on through the project's end. Working with Ron and Ann was a wonderful experience, which is what I expected since we had all worked together on C3 for quite some time. On an objective basis, we have more experience actually doing XP than anyother group around, and we felt it was important to share our knowledge with those getting started with the process.
I think it is important for those who are making the move to XP to understand that the process is much more than the sum of its parts. We started out with a belief in the values of simplicity, feedback, communication and courage. The 12 practices that have come to describe XP have their roots in the values. The practices are entended to be a starting place, it is ok to vary from them as long as the things you add still support the values. And it is also important to remember that the 12 are a starting point, so you should start there.

oops , made big mistake. I was only knowing that Martin was the one who started to work on this project & afterwards , Ron was brought as full time consultant. I was not at all knowing that you were also with Martin & then Ron came in. I am extremely sorry , sir.
What is so special about Thoughtworks , that made Martin to join it , since you are also with thoughtworks. You people must be using XP in your projects , with your teams. I have read Martin Saying Thoughtworks is bunch of brilliant guys , which are doin cutting edge work.
Who is Ann ? It is evident that nobody is having experience like you people in XP projects.
How was Working on C3 Project ? it must have been hard work to make the project successful ?
Can you please tell more about the work which Thoughtworks is doin ? if it is possible for you.
i think i have started boring . stopping my soapbox.
