What do you see in the future of XP?
Is any of you working on something similar to XP that could be applied to a bigger groups of developer?
Thanks

I can barely predict what my future will be like much less a software movement. Instead of a prediction, here is my hope.
I hope it continues to be lean and mean with the focus on the product (the code) vs documentation that describes the code. I have been on software projects were the documentation was considered more important than the code. Hard to believe but true! I worry about this because in discussions with people about XP one complaint I have heard a fair amount (other than they don't like pair programming, they don't like/understand the planning game, or both) is that there isn't enough documentation.
I can understand this somewhat but if you have well written code a lot of the need for all the other docs falls away. Just my opinion.

Henry , XP is just started picking up now , becuase of it's inherent advantages. Like Java has got inbuilt security through Sand Box , that way XP comes with tremendously lightweight package , ideas where Many heavyweight processes are proved ineffective. Rather thay have made Programmer , whom i consider " an ARTIST " into Documentation clarke. though documentation is imporatant , too much of it will hamper the progress of the project & sap the entusiasm & creativity of Progammer. XP is hammering n those areas only.
As Mr. Kent Beck has proposed in his book : " I am not proposing any new thing here. Everything was available previously." Now , people are understaning advantages offered by Xp. It is still evolving. it will be growing.
Regarding you quesion on applicasbility of XP to larger group, just read this discusssion thread here. Mr, Fowler & Mr. Chet has explained about that.
I hope this is useful.
SHAILESH.
