As promised a couple of weeks ago, I am giving away one copy of "Agile Software Development".
Here are the rules:
  • I'm not going to use Carl's spiffy program that's used to select the winner of the regular giveaway. This is a special giveaway, so I'm using a special program.
  • Only properly registered participants of JavaRanch will be eligible to join (bartenders and sheriffs and trailbosses: if you didn't win in MO, I'll automatically include you in the drawing)
  • Whoever wants a chance to win the book should send me ONE private message with the subject "Agile S/D". The message should include at least one link to a recent thread (not more than 60 days prior to today) in the Process: UP, RUP, DRUP, XP, etc. forum which you feel shows that you deserve to have this book.
  • This is the only announcement of this contest that I will make. Participants agree not to invite carpetbaggers and tourists to join.
  • Those who do not follow the above instructions (especially the previous one) will be disqualified (and forever banned from the Process forum )
  • By sending a Private Message to me, participants indicate their agreement to all these rules. If you do not agree with these rules or think they are lame, that's your problem. But no book for you!
  • ONE (1) winner will be randomly selected by yours truly from all the qualifying PMs that I receive.
  • The name of the winner will be posted to the Process forum not later than Sunday, March 17, 2002 11:59 P.M. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time).
  • Participants agree to accept and abide by the result once it is announced. No flaming or whining or I'll request a sheriff to lock your account
  • The winner will have to pay for postage. (Sorry guys but I'd rather just not have that discussion again with my wife, thank you  ) The winner may also make alternative arrangements to get the book if proximity to Columbus, Ohio, USA allows.

  • That's it, I guess. Good luck everybody!
