...a section to try and convince management that agile is a good idea? I've moved from an agile company to one which is decidedly not and I've had tremendous trouble trying to convince management that it's a good thing.

there is an excellent book that may help you:
Agile & Iterative Development: A Manager's Guide by Craig Larman.
See esecially Ch 5 (Motivation) and 6 (Evidence).

I think you will find some many useful pieces of information articulating why agile and iterative development is a good thing in Agility and Discipline Made Easy that you can use to convince your manager, but we did not come close to the depth Craig has in his book.

Evidence isn't the only thing that you need to convince people. You will also need to deal with emotions - people simply don't like change.

The book "Fearless Change" has helped me a lot to better understand what's happening, and what I can do to become a better "change agent". You might want to take a look at it...
