Head First PMP is also useful for Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)?

Dear authors,

I already used books of the Head First series to study for two certifications (SCWCD and SCBCD, by the way) and I really appreciated the way difficult, possibly boring matters are treated and explained in an entertaining way.

I am currently interested in PMI minor certification, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and I would like to know if your book is also useful for studying for this certification.

Thank you in advance for your time,

Claudio

Yes, the CAPM exam is also based on the material in the PMBOK(r) Guide, just like the PMP exam. So you can definitely use "Head First PMP" to study for the CAPM exam.

Dear Andrew,

thank you for your reply.

One thing I appreciated about the Head First books I read so far was the focus on the exam topics. I mean the authors made clear what topics were important for the cert exam. I believe the same holds for HF PMP.

Regarding CAPM, are there suggestions, hints and the like about what might be in the exam or not? Or is the book focused only on PMP certification exam?

Thank you again,
Claudio

This book guide to both CAPM and PMP, or it focus on PMP only?

Its focus is definitely on the PMP exam, but I think it's still a good starting point for studying for the CAPM.
