I have a hard disk from my old PC.
The information is not damaged. As I understood and was explained, it is something with HD's heads for reading (in translation) "heads/eagles jumped" (relocated?).
After a year of avoiding to use it, I connected it and have seen everything, immediately started scandisk that worked over half of clusters and started AGAIN the sounf of clicking (like slowly moving train). That's all I again cannot access anything (after many re-boots).
Any experience on Hard Disks recoveries?
It is like damaged cassettes: you always may try to glue the tape, to insert it in another case. But, I am afraid, I do not have neither experience nor spare parts.
I have heard from my colleagues that it is not treated in Portugal but sent abroad and will cost +-1000 Euro. I sold my car but still could not collect that money.
Any discussion forums on it? I have tried many but could not get any response.
Any links to-do-it-yourself?
