I've been looking for a tutorial or some instructions for doing this: linking two win2000 pcs one a thinkpad to my main desktop computer. I went to my local hardware store and they gave me one of those thick wires that I use for my high speed internet (over the phone line) and he said Windows has a wizard to do the rest. I can't find this wizard or any instructions online. Anyone?
P.S I could do this with laplink or something like that for file transfers but don't want to have to go to those lengths.

Thanks for the response but I wasn't specific enough. I am actually looking not to share an internet connection just send data from one pc to the other only. The quantities are too large for floppies and the laptop has no burner.
