free project mgt. app

Hi everyone,
I've been searching for nice app that i can use to do project management for the development team but couldn't find the one that is free, mostly are free for trial version only. Just wanna ask if you know one good free software for project management (does basic management for small group of developers) that i can download? Just drop any good links :-).

Can you expand a bit on what you mean by "project management" in this case, please.
Are you looking for requirements gathering software? release planning? progress/feature tracking? bug tracking? version tracking? timesheets and utilisation? support knowledgebase tools? staff development and training? communication tools for distributed teams? meeting planning and scheduling? . . .
"project management" is such a broad field that it's really hard to recommend any software without knowing a bit more about what you want to do with it and how your current process and responsibilities work.

Hi,
I know what you mean of project management,indeed all those questions you have asked are part of a project management; however, in my case for this time i just want to have a simple project management app that tracks the time spend on a project, the people working on that,including the breakdown of activities,remarks/current status. It would be better also to have a management that organizes all the activities in the development like meeting planning,scheduling etc. Then a good report (monthly or yearly) will be generated with a graph that shows the actual activites spent on a project.
If you have known an application that basically does something like this which is free , i would be glad to have it since at this time i'm doing this all manually on MSExcel.
