Thanks fot the kind words Jim. I personally think that the quality ie. depth of Java content , of my postings must and should improve. My next target as such then is not to reach 3000 but to improve the quality of help I provide.
And thanks all others
ps I hope you still see this "dig" Ashik. SA beat India today

re: the Netherlands, the impression I got was that they were essentially a club team that saved up the money, came over and somehow got included in the world cup. Maybe thats a lie, but they certainly got their assets kicked
and don't change the subject, we're here to congratulate you

Hey any chance to talk cricket .
Your right they were down SA awhile ago. Could not beat any of the provincial teams down there.
When we just arrived in the Netherlands 7 years ago. The SA cricket team visited here. A nephew took us to see it. Guess what the Netherlands thrashed SA

Wouldn't that have put them in the middle of the match-fixing saga?
Seriously though, I'm all for any country that wants to field a team. I was shocked to find out when I was working in San Fran that they are supposed to have 100+ teams in the Bay area. Apparently they are left over from British film starts that went to the USA to make movies.
With strength like that I'd like to see them at the next World Cup (but only if they haven't re-invented the game ). Personally I only think the World Cup is worth running if you have 5 or more teams in it, 3 just isn't the same. With almost a dozen world class countries out there, how can you call yourself the World Champions if you've only beaten two other teams?
(ending cricket rant here)

Dave

It was after a tour to the UK. Hansie was tired and returmed to SA early and did not play so I dont think this game was fixed

To make you feel better , think how happy Kenya must have been win their win. I alway like it when the underdog win's because on average they have so little to be happy about
