Hey, I'm using OpenOffice to export a Word document to PDF. The exported file was about 500 KB Exporting the same file using Adobe Illustrator, the size was about 80 KB? Why the size is different? Thanks.
If you do File / Export as PDF in OpenOffice, you'll get a dialog with a lot of options. Have a look at the settings you're using there.
Something that might impact the file size of the PDF is for example the way images are treated (with lossless compression, or as JPEG with a specific quality setting). [ September 24, 2008: Message edited by: Jesper Young ]
