One of the reviews on Amazon talked about your "java security toolkit" included in the book, what types of things can it do?

Hi John,
Briefly, it has a bunch of command line utility programs for:
  • performing cryptographic operations (encryption/decryption, signature creation/verification, digest creation/verification, ...).
  • issuing X.509 certificates (yes, a poor man's (Errr.. person's) CA).
  • SSL communication
  • ... more stuff


    • A User Guide (actually, an Appendix from the book) is available online at http://www.j2ee-security.net/book/dnlds/JSTK_UserGuide.pdf. The toolkit is also freely downloadable under an open source license. There is also a forum for discussing this tool (among other things).
