Hi,

Im using the (lightweight version) Bouncycastle API for handheld devices.

I can choose between different types of encodings..

RSAEngine, basic RSA algorithm
PKCS1Encoding, which does the basic PKCS 1 v1.5 padding
Optimal Asymmetric Encryption Padding

The two latter takes an .. as input parameter - does that mean, that they
are more advanced?

According to the (sparse) documentation, weather or not one should use
the PKCS1Encoding depends on your application. This is hard to do, when you
don't know what "it does".

I havn't been able to find any relevant information about the differences
between the above.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
