Would you consider obfuscation as security measure in J2ME apps? If so any obfuscator in particular?

thanks

We don't look at Obfuscation of J2ME MIDlets....due to various reasons including the limited memory footprint and demanding performance requirements.

We do discuss about using an "Obfuscated Transfer Object" to protect data access and ensuring its confidentiality and integrity. We suggested 3 key strategies to support this pattern.

Take a look at Chapter 10 to read about "Obfuscated Transfer Object" and Chapter 3 to read about the basics of Obfuscation in Java.
