I have a question about using Windows Integrated Security with Servlets/JSP and IIS. My requirements are to have IIS automatically log in using the logged in user to Windows. This is an intranet so using that method will not be an issue with outside users. The trouble I am having is that the second requirement is to have the logged in user, log into the database on the backend. I am not sure how to get the authentication to work that way. I can use getRemoteUser() and it gives me the user but there is no way to get the password to send to the database. Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michael!

To get the username and password by your browser you can use the Microsoft NTLM feature when you use IE. I am currently working on a similar feature and I try it with the jCIFS library. You can find the docs here:
