Hello friends.......
I am new in this field so please help me out..How can i implement SSL/STL in my shopping related website project.

The specifics depend on the server you're using; have a look at its documentation. (E.g., Tomcat's is here).

Roughly, you need to install a certificate, configure your web server to use it and to listen to HTTPS requests (generally on port 443), and make any appropriate changes to your web app.

That might be configuring it to require SSL connections (that can be done in the web.xml), replacing all HTTP URLs with HTTPS URLs, and/or checking whether incoming requests use HTTPS (via the ServletRequest.isSecure method) and acting accordingly.
