how can i handle the files in server?

my next project is medical transcription project in this project we are handling voice file and doc file in server as folder(that mean we followed directory structure to store the file) and access using java.i.o api.please tell me is it feasible solution right now else is there any technologies available to tackle this file storage please suggest me.

What do you mean by "handle"? What functionality are you looking for that a file server doesn't offer?
