Hi All,
I managed to clear SCJP2 with 79% recently. For the last one month I have been visiting the JAVARANCH while preparing for SCJP2. These discussions are great!!!
Exam is not very tough. Any one having little programming back ground could pass this exam with a month effort. Try to do as many mock exams as you could, before taking the test. Just reading the books could not help much, since some questions are really tricky. As you know lot of people who scored less on operators and assignments, overridding and overloading, and flow control and exceptions adviced to be careful with these topics, still I did the same mistake with over confidence and got 57% in each of these topics. But I managed to get 100% on threads, lanuage fundamentals, java.util, and java.lang.
There are about 7 or 8 questions on threads, but most of them were easy except one or two. Most confusing topic for me was i/o in the exam, but I could manage to get 80%. Mostly I depended on Khalid text book, but I read RHE text book also. Khalid book is bit over whelming, but I liked the way he wrote it. The mock exams on the net were great help for me to guage my effort on each topic and restudy if necessary.
I had good rest the day before the exam. That helped me to attack the exam without much tension.
Thanks to all who spent their valuable time on postings. Thanks to Javaranch and Marcus Green.
Best of luck to SCJP2 aspirants.
Regards,
Thippasani Narasimha Reddy.

Thank you.
I did not get any questions on java.net.
Try to do some small programs on i/o and rmember all constructs of streams. That will help you.
I would advice to read RHE and Khalid.
best of luck....
