Actually i posted this somewhere else.
Hi folks,
I just passed JCP few days before with 72%. I had sat for the old exam also but unfortunately I scored 69% then. Anyway, let me clear one thing that the exam is just like previous one only. On the contrary, it is grace of Sun that they provide you number for all correct answers and of course 61% passing.
Lets come to the point. I am, just like most of you, a very average student. I took 5 days for the preparation. (last 50 hours before the exam are really very crucial and dont let loose during this).
Few tips for you which are really advantageous.:
dont expect a question like 1+1=2 but it is like 1 - - 1.(I mean to say that always look at the other side of code since it might be a possible answer)
the questions really focus on the other topic however you will be tempted by other lucrative answers. For e.g. if a question is of switch, you are likely to commit mistake to check even if non-static method in main().
Always look at the sample questions of suned.sun.com. (but never cram their answers as I blundered in a Garbage Collection question since it was in some other format in real test)
Learn carefully the constructor as well as heirachy of Input/Output.(Refer API given below in RHE)
For Collection, remember at least one characteristic of each class & interface.
So far as thread is concerned, I am too tiny to tell. However, see carefully whether the thread is actually started or not.
Never forget that the static variable are related with class loading so that its value will be updated rather initializing every time with new object.(many questions had confused me here).
Dont look at your mock-test result.(Believe me I have got around 60% in almost mock exams)
So all the best to you friends. Work hard before the exam as it is key of success( and it has scratched out my impression of Unlucky Arpit).

Arpit,
You said that you got 60% on most mock exams but you got a 72% on the real exam. Are you saying that the real exam is significantly easier than the mock exams. I hope I understand you correctly.
