Hi Guys,
Just cleared the exam today morning.i secured 44 coorrect out of 59 questions..the exam wasnt that easy i got atleast 16 questions...9 on IO and 7 on threads...got saved by IO i think i got 80% in it and 57 % in threads..100% in awt...lotta of constructor questions were asked and coding was around 15 20 lines...not that difficult but one has to be really careful.
I would like to really thank Javaranch...though i didnt take part that actively but got lotta help from the mock exams and the discussion forum.last night i took the print outs of valeru's notes...i think i m naming him right...it really gave me lotta confidence...I should really thank him.
I thoroughly read R&H robert hellers certification guide,..i think its closest to exam...khalids book was excellent...i read through it halfway and realised that the book is so good that at the end of it it may confuse you...Mind u it matters from person to person..Its a excellent book.
and lotta mock exams..a lot...I think all from the javaranc/maha they really boosted the exam..i think the mock exams are only 60 70% closer to exam.I finished the exam in 1 hour 20 minutes after rechecking..First 10 minutes was quite nervous...thinking that i would fail the exam...but i feel one shouldnt give up and thats what i did...only matter of 10 minutes after that its like giving any other exam,..the only important thing here is concentration.,,,dont be in hurry theres lotta time..and concentrate on IO..u just have to remember which constructor takes which arguements...just stick to basics...its all in the mind..ant the important thing is to decide the date...because no matter how much you study you would feel that the preparation is not complete...take a risk..thanks everyone one...its party time for a week or so..Bye guys
Anand

Good job, man! 75 is a really good mark! You said you used Valeru's (spelling) notes? Could you email them to me to mtszyman@yahoo.com, but, please, if you could zip them into one file first, it would make for less of a headache tracking many files. Thanks in advance.
Mark.
Congrats again!
