With a lot of help from Javaranch and more than a little luck, I passed my SCJP this morning with 84%. Thanks to everyone here, particularly those who posed interesting questions which really made me realise where my weak areas were.
I got a lot of questions on threads and more than I expected on IO. I got one on GridBag layout - which surprised me as I didn't think that was included - it was at a very basic level.
I got 2 hours to complete the exam - and finished about 15 minutes earlier - and that was because I was getting bored of checking and double-checking. It was far clearer than most of the mock exams and I scored better on the real thing than I did in the mocks - but I'm not good at taking mocks seriously. I relied mainly on RHE - so a big thank you there too. I also found Eckel's coding questions at the end of each chapter of Thinking in Java useful to get practice at the actual coding. I used a book by Jaworski on Java 2 Certification which was OK and included lots of useful questions but I still found RHE more comprehensive and easier to understand.
So thanks to everyone here at Javaranch and good luck to those of you who are preparing to take the exam. Finally, I can sleep at night as opposed to running through the Collections API under my breath! See you around!

Congrats.
Could you please explain what do you mean by RHE.
Is it Simmon, Roberts, Philip Heller, Michael Earnest
Congrats once again and give some tips also if possible

Congrats Kathy!
Mahesh - you are correct - RHE stands for Roberts, Heller and Ernest, the authors of "The Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide."
