Hi
I am a new member for this great site, which i happened to hear a couple of weeks before. So i want myself to become a member and this is my first post..
I am planning to take up SCJP2 exam by the end of this month. I am trying some mock exams available in maha's site, but still my range is inbetween 60 and 70. I am a bit weak in these following
chapters.
1.Threads
2.AWT package
3.Util package
4.IO
At present i am studying philip heller book and exam cram. Are these 2 books enough or do i need to study from some other book ?
Can any one pls suggest me how to proceed now.
Thanks and regards
Pradeepa

Hi Pradeepa,
I plan to get certified by this month end.I also shared your weaknesses. However I found Bruce Eckel's Thinking in Java quite handy for clearing my threading concepts,IO and util.Simon Roberts has treated IO pretty well too.
I've been referring these two books along with Java 2 by Barry Boone. Many of my certified friends have warned me not to risk giving the exam untill you're consistently scoring 90 odd in the mock tests.
So all the best.
Regards,
Pravin.
