Congratulations Lucky!
Often industry people look for Java experience with certification credentials. So I'm sure if you can actually get a Java job just based on certification. I'm not ruling out the possibility either.
Many people supplement the SCJP with either SCJD or SCJEA or both. That might give you an edge over others who are just SCJPs.
Best wishes,
Ajith

To find a Java job in the US, you need to find out who is recruiting from your place. So pay attention to the job advertisement in your local media, or contact some local agencies specilized in recruiting for US companies.
If you have enough programming experiences and English is enough to deal with people on daily basis, then the prospect is good.
Congratulations and good lucky.
