Hi there,
I forgot to remove the marks on about 15 questions. Is there any effect on the final scores? I didn't read the instruction very carefully. I feel my score was not as high as expected, about 20 to 15 scores below my estimate during the exam. Just cannot figure it out why.
Thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi Chuck,
I don't think the 'marks' affect your score; only the 'incomplete' questions, if you had any.
Note that JavaRanch has a Name Policy. Would you please read the policy and re-register using a name that complies with the rules.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Although the score was a bit lower than I expected (only 74), I got certified from a Java ignorant to a certified programmer in a bit over one month.
I knew I was not fully ready before the exam. But, I have to move to the next square, i.e. mastering JSP, Servlet, JDBC, and EJB. Just feel a bit sad i couldn't find this site earlier.
Have a good one!

Sorry about the name in the earlier post. I forgot to enter my last name while registering.

Well,
mark is a checkbox on the examination applet screen. Suppose, if you are stuck on a tough question, and to review this question after you have answered the questions next to this one, then you can mark this question by selecting the checkbox. After answering your rest of the questions, you can easily see which questions are still left unanswered by you or need some more review, and return to them.
Bye,
