Hi friends ,
I became an SCJP yesterday. Thanks for all your help.I was a keen observer of this site.I got a lot of help from others.I would like to share my experience with the exam.
I found the exam much simpler than what i expected. But you must be thorough with the basics. The difficulty level is comparable to that of Mgreens exam. The questions are trickier but never creates any confusion. So read the question's carefully .I got 5 questions on threads,1 on GC ,5 on IO,3 on util , 5 on lang.7 on exception and flow controls.
I found questions on threads as difficult. But for IO remember all constructors. Also remeber to review the answers before once again before you leave.
I have prepared for nearly one month.I wrote most of the mock exam's available in maha's site.I found khalids exam as much harder than original exam.
I selected RHE and java ina nutshell for my preparation .for online test's available i reccomend jyothi,s notes and notes from java caps.Try to do as many codings as possible.I got two questions with 18 lines of code .
I think one month's hard work is only needed.
Thank you for all the members of java ranch especially maha anna and marques green .
Please free to mail me on your doubts regarding exam "george.tharakan@usa.net" .But don't ask for jcp questions .

Congrats!
One month is a very short time for the preparation. You have shown your talent. A good job is waiting for you!
