Hi,

I recently passed the Java 2 Programmer Certification Exam. Sun mailed me the certificate and offered me a document to sign to receive authorization to use the logo. What are the pros and cons of the logo? Is there any downside?

Hello Stan!
I passed the SCJP exam last week and I haven't received my certificate yet. But concidering the logo, the main idea is that you can use it to show people that you actually passed the exam and that you are a qualified java programmer. But to use this logo you need to agree to some requirements set up by Sun, so you don't use it for the wrong purposes. For example you cannot use it to try to imply that you are programmer working for Sun Microsystems.
Marcus Green explains it in his FAQ: http://www.jchq.net/faq/jcertfaq.htm#4.4)
