Hello all, I finally passed. I want to thank everyone that has responded to my questions. I know some people get depressed when their test score isn't as high as they would like but to me a pass is a pass. A pass means I can go on. A failure means I can't. So I'm happy! There are many good java books out there but the jq+ is what gives you the practice. I was scoring well into the 90's on the jq+ but finished with a 69 on the scjp2. jq+ mock exam is very good for reinforcing the basics. Knowing the basics will carry you through this exam more then anything else. The java ranch is certainly a good place to hang. I have spent quite a few nights at the Saloon. The books I like are: RHE, Java How to Program, Thinking in Java, and JLS. Thanks to everyone and I wish luck to all, Kevin
Congratulations Kevin, Good to know you don't attach much importance to the score. Even I got a similar score. After all it's what you learn while preparing that counts most. Keep up the good work. All the best for your java dreams. Siddharth, SCJP,OCP.
