He scores!!!
Wrote the exam this morning got 74%.
Like everyone else I found it heavy on Threads, somewhere on the order of 8 questions. I'm not going to rehash what others have written. The exam really isn't that hard, most of the questions are pretty straight forward, but there are some tricky ones, so read them carefully. As for how it compares to the mocks, I would put it an a par with Marcus Green's exams. It's not as brutal as JQPlus, I only managed to pass one of their exams the first try. If you can hold your own with JQPlus you will come out with a good score, so I highly recommend it. Other advice I have is get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, go over any cram notes you have to jog your memory, and don't drink too much coffee or water before hand.

Hi Nandini
I think if you are getting those kinds of scores with JQ+ you will no problem with the real thing. I passed only one JQ+ exam one the first write with a score in the low 60's. Just continue with your preparations until the day before the exam then relax and get a good night's sleep (just as important a part of your preparation as anything else). I was nervous, but I would have been worried if I wasn't. The exam really isn't that hard, but it is tricky.
You should do well, let me know how you fair.

Sit back, have a few cold ones and relish it.

It's a dark Jamacian rum that years ago was so strong that anybody not used to drinking it usually let out a yelp. It started being called Screech by the Americans who were stationed here during WW2, before that it really had no name. It's good stuff mixed with Coke or Pepsi.
If you ever come across it and you drink you should try it.

Congrats Rich!
I have been working away on JQPlus and haven't been able to pass one yet on the first try. I'm shooting for a pass but I only have two left to do. They are brutal:-) I appreciate all the feedback from recent success stories because that's what keeps me going. I couldn't believe it when one person passed with a 100%!! Would you suggest going ahead with the rest of JQPlus before going on to Marcus Green mock exams? or should I switch back and forth?
Wish you well,
Percy Densmore

Percy,
I too am giving the JQ+ exams and yes, they are tough. I was getting in the 70's range before as I had said but after giving a good reading of Velmurugan's notes, my score has gone up quite a bit, maybe u could try the same. I think he made his notes after going thru' JQ+, so it very handy.

Percy
I switched back and forth, usually when I would start feeling demoralized by my JQPlus scores. But stick with it because the styling of the questions and the interface is really close to the actual exam. Don't let low scores in JQPlus throw you off, take the time to review the questions and answers at the end to see where you went wrong and also to see why you were right. Pay particular attention to the tricky questions that seem to be theoretical in nature, the real thing has a ton of them. For instance questions concerning mulitple threads and for( ; ; ) loops. Not really practical in real life as any thread that enters such a loop will never be heard from again. Stick with it, don't get discouraged, relax and stay focused and you should come out of it fine. Let me know how you do.
