Hi everyone, Well, at last!!! And it feels great!! Went for the exam today and came out with 86%. Thanks to everyone at this site, I got plenty of help here and the atmosphere was always so friendly, I never thought twice before putting in any query. The exam was not too tough, just loads of fundamentals, ya it was heavy on threads, for me they started from Q52 and went on till Q59 and I am hopeless at threads.....go thru' monitors, deadlocks, synchronization etc, I got a 71 there. Pass by value/reference too was highlighted, got 3 questions on them. IO, util, lang, awt were all simple. Do lots of mocks, during the last few days, I was doing JQ+ a lot which helped me a ton. I guess that wraps it up..if u have any queries please do ask.
Nandini, CONGRATS. A great score. I am planning to give the exam next week. and since at this forum everyone was saying about JQ+ I too have tried it. In fact, a few days back I had posted a noted asking whether it was necessary to do all the JQ+ Tests. Surprisingy, I have not seen any reply to that post. Any way, I have finished with the test of JQ+. THe average score on them was 75% (including the random test). What I found was was that I was making more mistakes in the fundamentals section. I have one week more now. Will read a bit more. Other than JQ+ I have done Marcus Greens exams (average score 85%) and a a few others like Jexam, from RHE etc. Would that be sufficient as far as givin mock exams is concerned. Am I ready for "THE" exam? Any inputs suggestions are welcome. JAI
Jai I would say you are more than ready for the real thing with regards to mock exams. My advice would be to spend the remaining time reading over any material you have, paying particular attention to any weak areas. Good luck. Rich
Hi Jaikumar, Sorry for the delay in replying , I agree with Rich, u r ready for the exam, I was getting similar marks in JQ+ , in the random test I got a little more, around 85%, but I think u r ready....just go thru' the fundamentals as they r important. All the best for ur shot at the exam. Do ask if u have any problems. Nandini
Could any one suggest a good source for study of "exceptions". I tend to get confused with them and would like to read some more on that topic. I have a week more for my exam. Any inputs are welcome. Jai
Best source for exception handling is JQPlus, it has 56 questions in it. Customize a test with Exception Handling section only. Check the comments after finishing with that test. It clear your all the doubts and fears. Best of luck for your exam. Tanveer

Yes, Shailesh ur right , my birth place is Kolkatta, but I am in Jersey for the last couple of months!! Thanks Ratul, well, the questions were not very tough and not very easy, u 'll have to think a bit, but more or less simple, when is ur exam?? All the best for it! Nandini
Hi Madhu, I followed RHE and Jaworski, RHE by itself is not sufficient, u'll need another book, I have heard Exam cram is a good book, is this the book by Bill Brodgen? Also do plenty of mocks after ur second reading of the 2 books is over, that will help a lot. If u need any further help please do ask. abcd123, May I know when did you order? What is your order id? Did you send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org ? How can you just say that we are fraud when there are thousands of satisfied customers? I have been in these forums for more than an year and I am still here.
