Hey Ranchers
Hope everyone is doing well. Breifly, this is a repost of a topeic I created a couple of weeks ago. I am reposting (after Kaushik's suggestion) with a more descriptive name). Basically, what I am trying to do is get as much data as I cna about the mock exams that everyone has taken and compare the scores on those to their actual score on the SCJP. So far I have only 9 sets of data and figure I'll need at least 20 to 30 to make it even reasonable meaningful. So if you've taken the SCJP (passed or not) and have the most recent scores you got on the mocks please post them here and hopefully it'll help others studying to judge where they are in their preparations. It might even help the test creators too...
thanks
Dave

Actually kaushik Paul has set up better way to track them on his site at http://www.jdiscuss.com/Enthuse/jsp/ViewAllResults.jsp
That way everyone can go there and see them all instead of waiting on me to post results or combing through all of the replys to see them.
He doesn't have kind of statistical comparison on the totals, but then again there aren't that many up there yet. I did one a week or so ago, maybe I'll get another one done later this week.
thanks for the support though

Dave, if you have some kind of a formula to extract some meaningful information from the results then let me know.

No formula, I was just calcualting simple averges and comparing them to each other
I don't think there is enough data yet to do anything more meaningful with it. At that point I guess you could do some statistical comparison. but alot of it would be based on so many different things I dont know if a really detailed analysis would be valid. Just because of the different interfaces and testing styles of the different exams. I'm by no means a statistician, so maybe someone else out here knows of some methods that they could use to get something more substantial out of the scores you have.
Until then, my thought was just to provide people witha way to judge their readiness by comparing their scores to those that others got on the same tests and on the actual.
