Yea! I finally got up enough nerve to take the test...and pass.
I was a little disappointed with the result, I wanted at least 80%. However, I much more pleased with it than I am disappointed. Good enough says it all!
What did I study? Well, jqplus was a big help, although I'd like to see more on inner classes. The thread questions might be better if they were tougher as well. On the other hand, I got 80% on Threads so it might not matter.
Believe it or not, I found Java in a Nutshell to be a useful review guide, emphasis on review. The big fault in it is that the latest version puts awt in Java Foundation Classes.
I would recommend www.examcram.com for the question of the day. Even when I wasn't studying, the daily emails were a good reminder to not give up.
I read both RHE and Exam Cram. I should have read both of them more however.
Best of luck to everyone still studying!
