I am very pleased to let you all know that I passed the SCJP EXAM today with 69%. Not an excellent score but enough to be recognised by Sun, and my first attemt too!!!.
I have been a silent user of the great facility offered by javaRanch, and I want to say A big thank you to every one who participated in the discussion forum, expecially those of you who gave us invaluable information on preparing thoroughly for the Exam. Thank you all.
The Exam was not as difiicult as I expected. Though I could have scored well above 80%, but I am not complaining.
I had Lots of Thread, I/O, Flow control, AWT, Collection questions. Many familiar question like in many mock exam like JQ+, J@whiz, Marcus Green, Bill Brodgens, Applied Reasoning,Rules round up game, etc.
Altogether , I spent about 4 1/2 months of preparation. More than 1300 questions altogether.
With hard study and God's Blessing, passing the Exam is definitely a possibilty. If I can , then any Body can.
Regards,
Emmanuel Bakare
