Lots of I/O (what a pain memorizing all those darn java.io class constructors!), threads, and quite a bit of awt/graphics. Scott, congratulations! I will be taking the exam in 2 weeks time! You said the exam consisted of: "Lots of I/O (what a pain memorizing all those darn java.io class constructors!), threads, and quite a bit of awt/graphics." What do you mean by "graphics"? Regards, George

George, I mean there were several questions on Layout Managers and awt events. "Graphics" probably isn't the best term for it, since it doesn't specifically refer to painting or image management -- it's a little more general than that. Dave, what's next? Why, I suppose I'll lay around on the beach in Aruba and watch the money rush into my pockets Seriously, this means it's time to do what I've wanted for quite awhile: transition from Lotus Notes development into a more Java-centric programming position, including but not limited to Notes development. I'm strong on the basics but have very little knowledge of JSP or J2EE, and I'd like to focus on data integration for Web Servers. I probably need to learn XML as well. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to ramp up on these topics?
