hi everybody, today i wrote my jcp & scored 100%, pretty neat huh, well found the paper easier then most of the mock exams i had given & particularly one thing i notice is that people to make their mock exams tough put questions which would need u 2 b thorough with the API, on the contrary during the exam there was not a single question about methods in collections or awt. though one should b thorough with threads and I/O.
Also thanks to the "The Rules Roundup game" (with all the cows) in javaranch which i enjoyed playing everynight while logging off.

Thanks to all you guys for making me feel great, i went through the usual mock exams links to all of which you can find in www.javaranch.com/maha i would say to all the people like poonam who are preparing for the exam that this is the best collection of quality resources. But most of all two thorough reading of complete certification by earnest, heller et.al does the magic. Actually i had spent a lot of time reading Bruce Eckel's free book which really gives you a feel of java but for JCP one should not waste time reading ahead of the 8th chapter.
And ofcourse the best mock exams are by Bill Brogden.
its been real fun preparing for the exam and all the best for all aspiring JCP's.

Different people get different questions. I had several questions that required a basic knowledge of the Collection API.
Congatulations!!!

Hi Ashik,
I've only heard of two others. If you search this forum you'll probably find references, I know one person posted a 100% score in Marcus Green's forums.

If they've got a 100% and it's been confirmed by a third source then I don't care where they posted; 100% is rare, they deserve acknowledgement

Hi! Vipin,
With 100 not out, paji tussi ta kamaal hi kar ditta. Many Congrats! But I was extremely disturbed with the
fact that you an engineer and a cent-percent SCJP is not getting a job, rather paying for a live project, that too in a city like Bangalore.(I am in HP at present).

Well, I am an MBA(International Trade) and have shifted to IT just after 6 months of work experience at a good MNC. I have done basic Java and am preparing for SCJP.
What would be next after Certification? Where I should be concentrating after SCJP?
I will do Advanced Java but would rather be working as well? Is that possible? What kind of opening I can look forward to?
Please try to come back with some help.
Waiting eagerly for your reply.
With Regards,
Puneet Narang

Vipin,
I m also hurt to hear u not getting a suitable job... It makes me think how risk-lover i was always in my life as I have just completed my MSS in Economics from Dhaka University but never gave a single point of concentration there and instead rushed for IT. I m rewarded as before i even finished my BSS in University i found myself as an instructor in a repted IT Institute in Dhaka as an instructor. But now i want to go for project experience after appearing SCJP this month....but afraid whether i'll get a good developer job or not....
Ranchers, share ur feelings....
