I feel terrible now.. after serveral months study, I got bad result 55% this morning , but I will try again soon!!
I want to know is there any discount for second time? or I have to pay $150 again ?

maybe I have to try other better mock tests? which one do you suggest? THANKS !!!

Sorry, Vivian. But don't give up. Take a couple of days off and drill down on your weak areas. I don't know If you have JQPlus, but it's a great preparation tool and it's only $20.00 US. Also, try Khalid's book and Marcus Green's mocks, If you haven't already.
Take care,
Donald

Vivian,
I'm sorry to hear about your results. Don't lose faith! The exam is not easy and from your score, it seems that you're almost there. What resources did you use to prepare for the exam? I found that the RHE book as well as Marcus Green's tutorials & mock exams (www.jchq.net) to be very helpful. The mock exams on that site is a good indicator of your actual exam score (+/- 5%). Work on your weak areas as indicated on your score sheet and I'm sure you'll be SCJP the next time.

Hi Vivian,
Not every body passes the first time. The esteemed Marcus Green failed on his first try; which is one reason he spent so much time and effort building his site, to help others suceed (you'll be glad to hear Marcus did pass on his second go round )
You now have the advantage of knowing what the real exam is like and a detailed account of your weaknesses. Try to focus in on those and use the mocks to test how your doing.
You may also want to search this forum for threads posted by people who passed on their 2nd or 3rd try's to see get an idea of how they proceeded.
Best wishes for the future.

Don't feel too bad, Vivian. I think a lot more people fail than you know because they're not brave enough to tell people, especially on a posting board. I have a friend who failed. He's planning on retaking it soon.
I HIGHLY recommend JQPlus (http://enthuware.com/jqplus/). It's very similiar to the real test. If you follow their recommendation to take one test each day until you start passing, you'll be prepared for the real test. In fact, I found the real test easier than their mock exams (I passed on Wednesday with 83%, a higher grade than I expected. )
JQPlus was definitely the best money I spent on preparation.
For other links and stuff on study notes, see my post.
Good luck!

Hi Vivian,
You were very close! It is rather disconcerting. Not many will admit to failing but I did last May and got a lower mark than you did.
Some exams are harder than others and there are many many rules to remember not to mention nerve-racking
I bought JQPlus and found it very helpful along with writing Marcus Green Exams. Levtek.com has a list of mocks to choose from. Some are better than others. Jane has a beautiful Quick Reference site at http://www.janeg.ca/index.html , check it out.
It really helps to focus on the reason why an answer is right or wrong. Run the code snippets to see the errors yourself. That impresses it on your mind. Wish you well.

Hi vivian
i think u should take a day off and a good night sleep b4 attempting any exam, i am sure next time u will pass with flying colors
u shold now just try taking mock exams and evaluating each wrong answer and just go thru the topic which u got most wrong, sometimes its luck then the knowledge
