hello,
i would like to know from the SCJPs if one needs to do the methods of various streams and readers/writers classes in java.io topic?Or just doing the Constructors is sufficient?
any help or advice would be appreciated.
rajashree.

Hi,
think that java.io.File might be important, but perhaps 3 questions less than the constructors.
good luck Axel

i would say do the methods too as there aren't many, anyway most of the methods are implementation of the base interfaces(inputstream and outputstream),i have seen questions in mock exams (don't remember having any in real exam atleast for me) but since they are in mock exams somebody must have had them in real exam, just go thru the methods they are mostly self explainatory and easy to remeber too.

I'd suggest knowing those for File and the basic methods defined in DataInput/DataOutput. It's also important to understand how Filters are used and recoginize the difference between InputStream/OutputStream vs Reader/Writers and RandomAccessFile.
Hope that helps.
