Thank God, i passed the exam yesterday with 76% although i hoped to get 80. But still with an 18th month baby who would'nt let me study at all, i think its good enough.
As for exam, its not difficult but very tricky. Infact the questions are quite simple not like very many mock exams we see on the net. Either you know the answer or you don't.
For the ones who want to take the exam, my advise is to conecentrate on basics, like unary operators, strings, stringbuffers, threads, IO, awt, garbage collection etc. There is no need of memorizing things like which IO class throws which type of exception, instead the concept should be clear. Most of the question i got were radio button type, a few type in(2-3), one quetion on garbage collection(its a must), 4-5 on overloading overriding, one quetion from Math class(a must) etc.
There was not a single quetsion on casting, or any operator precedence type.
one question was there with 2 answers but only one was true among them, i'm sure about it because i have the concept very clear , i don't know how it can come in exam.
Threads are a favourite topic with the exam people, so u should be well aware of synchronization, wait, notify, sleep, join etc. IO quetions i got were very simple, thats why i obtain 100% in them. AWT was also very easy.
The coded programs were not very big, even if they were big, they were not of complex logic, very easy to understand. Most of the quetsion that i got wrong was because i was quite tense in the beginning. So remain cool throughout the exam.
RHE is one book which is good enough. One again, i'll say please concentrate on the concepts, they are a must. Thanks to all at Java ranch. Good luck to all of those who want to take the exam in coming future!!!

Hi Asma,
I m from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I give u 15% added with ur 76% due to your child... . It's really amazing that u could do all the things alone. Anyway, how did u maintain 100% in IO....my weakest area...
