Hi all
I am delighted to have passed the SCJP exam today with 91%. My question is - what happens now? When and how do Sun become aware of my result, how do I access my result (and allow others to do so) online, when do I get the certificate and all the fiddly bits (graphics, etc.), and doesn't it feel good when it's all over and done with? Haha.
For any pre-examers out there, my advice is to use the RHE book, Marcus Green's site, Bill Brogden's site, and jqPlus. Can't go wrong.
Many thanks in advance
Michael

Congratulations!
You should be in the database in a day or two. You can check the database here:

You should receive a packet with a contract in a week or two. Sign the contract and return and then in another week or two you will get the URL of the site to download the images.

Many thanks to Thomas, and good luck to anyone about to sit the test.

Hi Ashik
As far as certifications go, the next one I try will probably be the SCJD one, I like the idea of developing software (after all, isn't that what its all about?).
However, right now that's on the back burner. Like so many Java developers (in the UK at least) I was made redundant last week, and am in the process of finding a new job. Have had one decent offer already, and am pursuing other leads as well.
For what it's worth, I think having the SCJP and Brainbench certifications on my online CV at places like gojobsite.co.uk and planetrecruit.com DID help me in getting interviews. And I would add to that by saying that studying for the SCJP is a great way to prepare for the type of basic technical tests that you can expect to receive at many Java developer interviews.
So, in short, SCJP = Good!
