Hi,
Today I passed the Java Programmers Certification test.
It was my first time taking the test, or any type of certification for that matter.
One thing I would like to share with any or all of you, is the fact that I found the real test far more difficult than any of the practice exams that I did, (and I did several). One thing that I found very distracting was the fact that I was in a strange environment. Doing a practise exam in the comfort of your own home is way different than the real thing.
Some of the questions on the exam were far trickier than any I had come across on practise exams. After about 20 questions, I think there were only about 5 or 6 that I was certain I had answered correctly.
One more thing...if you take the exam and a question is taking you too long to answer don't hesitate to mark it for later and go on. At the end of the test I had 19 questions mark that I had to go back to, but hell...i passed.
Thanks to Java Ranch for having such a helpful site.

Mike,
One Question about the exam: Does it cover Javadoc and JFC Stuff? The reason I ask is that the event model in the JFC has apparently changed since Khalid Mughal was last published and I'm not sure if the JFC (or AWT event model for that matter) is up to date.
Thanks.

Does a clock appear on the applet? Or you can minimize it on the SCJP test?
