hi guys
i also made it. 67%.. not a score that i'm proud of, but well, i can't complain since i *only* found out that people actually take around several months to prepare for the test *after* i found out about this forum, which is around 2 weeks ago, *after* i registered for the exam. man, ignorance is not really bliss, if u apply it to this situation well, at least i scored 100% in garbage collection
imagine how shocked i was... but well, i already registered for it, and there was nothing much i can do except to try my best and take it and then something wonderful happened.. somebody recommended javaranch to me. honestly, i really find this site *very*, *very* useful. i read through the campfire stories and i was very impressed with the way *real* teaching is done
i can't help u guys much with methods of preparation, sorry, because i only took 1 mock test, which is minQ's mock test, and i went only halfway through marcus green's one. *sigh* i was bogged down by deadlines these few days and i just can't find time to try them all out.. articles that helped a lot includes the campfire stories, and *of course* this discussion forum since there was no time for me to read books at all (2 weeks a short time if u have 2 concurrent work and deadlines every 3 or 4 days), i only have time to read the questions and answers in this discussion forum online(and also, participating in some). frankly, it really helped a lot. it made me realise which areas that i'm weak in.. so that i have a clear idea on which area i need to read up on.
dang, i *forgot* to read up on IO. my fault. hehehe. i remembered reminding myself to read it at 8am today (my exam's at 10am) but somehow i spent those extra time trying to read through marcus green's mock (only managed to finish half), and as a result i completely forgot to read up on IO. yes, even the constructors. dang. so, my advice to people taking it up, please, pleaseeeeee read up on your IOs.
well, probably i would take it again *after* i have ample preparations next time but now.. on to SCJD.. (and i'm going to *really* prepare this time!)
thanks, guys and gals ^_^
woohoo!
