Took SCJP2 exam at 11:00am this morning. This was a tough exam!Scored 83% - 49 out of 59. I was actually shocked that I passed - I didn't think that I did. Some benchmark advice: 90% of the questions were 20%-30% harder than the toughest questions in J@Whiz. I felt that many of the questions could have been clearer. Even with all the advice from this site (which is much appreciated) there's nothing like the real-feel of actually taking this exam. I don't know if there are different difficulty levels between exams but mine sure proves to me that anyone passing one of these has to know their stuff. This will definitely influence my hiring process.

It seems you have got exceptionally tough set of questions which few of us also faced. But i am sure it must have been more satisfying clearing the tough paper like this.

Yeah George, I finished the exam and walked out of the room scratching my head - whoever said this was easy. You should have seen the look on my face when the monitor told me I passed. I was expecting the worst. The questions seemed compounded with -say - threads for a language fundamental question. Must have had 8 questions with threading of which only half were actual thread questions. No more than 5 questions were straight forward such as io constructors or Strings or AWT Layouts. Hmmm, wonder if Sun gives a harder test on first try so you have to pay to take it again. Just a conspiricy THEORY!
Also - Just downloaded the Developer Assignment so I'll see Y'all in the Developers forum!
