Hi all,
This is intended for anyone who has passed their SCJP recently and has put a hotmail email address on the form for receiving the SCJP logo from Sun.
I passed my SCJP exam last month and sent off the form that allows you to get the SCJP logo at the beginning of the month.
Today I received an email from Sun with my login and password for the page where I can download the logo. It went to my Hotmail address. Unfortunately Hotmail decided to treat the mail as Junk Mail and immediately put it in the Junk Mail folder. I think Hotmail treats emails with message headers all in CAPITALS as Junk Mail.
Well, luckily I gave the Junk Mail folder a good scan this morning and found the message. Usually I give the folder a cursory scan and then delete everything. I was lucky I didnt overlook the email!
Well if you have a hotmail account, and you expect the email from Sun for the login to be delivered there, check your Junk Mail folder, because it might be there. Also if you have set hotmail to delete all Junk mail messages automatically ( dont know if you can do that...) then change it!
Hope that is of help,
Mark

Hi,
When you pass the SCJP exam Sun will send you a certificate and a form. The form is an application to have access to the logo.
You cannot get the logo if you are not already a SCJP.
Thanks,
Mark

I never understand the logic Hotmail uses.
I am not a Hotmail expert, but....
Apparently, there is also a Safe list you can setup in the Options. You can specify a domain name also as safe. So any mails you get from that domain are put in your inbox and not the Junkmail folder.
Give it a shot and put javaranch.com in the safe list. So we can send you more stuff.........
