Took the test this morning and passed it with 81. Thought I got higher but at least its over now. Wished that they could tell me which questions I answered incorrectly. But anyhow, I would like to thank everyone in Javaranch for offering their wealth of knowledge for others to share.
Here is some tidbit about the exam and how I prepared for it. The exam was fair and straight-forward. Some questions were tricky but none are mind-boggling. My Java experience was little to none basically. It took me two months to do it. I read Java 2 Certification All-In-One Guide and Thinking In Java to prepare for this test. But let me tell you that reading is not enough. The biggest contribution to my success was JQ+. I got 40 something percent on the first try but I kept hacking at it until the percentage had looked more respectable (my highest mark for JQ+ was about 75%) JQ+ is pretty challenging to say the least. The main point is to use JQ+ as a learning tool. Of course, the best way to learn a programming language is to actually program. Just write some code out and see if itll run. Understand why it runs or why it may not run.
Okay, I hope this helps.
Thanks again.

Hi Mahesh,
I used JQ+ to evaluate where my weaknesses are. So when I found out that I did poorly in I/O, (say 1/5) immediately I went to read that particular section in Velmurugan's notes. I read it at least twice to make sure I understand it. Then I attempt at JQ+ again, and again and again. During my last week before taking the exam, I did JQ+ twice a day, so it took me five days to finish all of them. Just do as much as you can, absorb as much as you can and you do fine. Just read the solutions that come with JQ+ questions, they are great. In the end, you will score about 65-80%, just believe in yourself. When you are there, believe it or not, you have knew enough to take the exam and pass it!
Hope this helps.
