Many thanks to Javaranch and other ranchers, I passed my SCJP2 today morning with 93%. Got all 100% in Garbage Collection, AWT, Threads, IO and utils. Thankful to Maha Anna(I Like the way maha answers questions. Simple, Meaningful and Straight to the concept, see my score, that is yours), Corey McGlone for his instance simple answers, JIM for his good old posts, Jessica, Jose, Dave, Jamal and many other ranchers.
Happy today and getting ready for SCJD.
Thanks once again.

"The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both."
My Hearty Congratulations Thiru.. Enjoy the success.. and work (and play) for SCJD..

Thanks Valentin, Nazmul, Murthy, Jamal.
I was so nervous when I started the exam, since I haven't taken any exam for last 2 years (I was working in java though). You need to read sun's agreement and convensions used before taking the exam, It will take atleast 5-10 mins which still increased my tension. First Q was a Garbage Collection, I was in peak tension. But when Q's were coming along, I felt confident. Many of them(80%) were all conceptwise questions(Min 5-9 choices), which took a very long time as opposed to my estimated time. The choices were tested in all aspects especially in threads and awt. Be careful, the flow control questions were very tricky. Thanks to examiners the Q's were NOT poorly worded as in mock exams. Anyway, I did it.
Now I am looking for SCJD resources. Anyone got good links?
Thanks for all your intimate help.

Thanks Corey, your help is really appreciated. By the way, what is the differnce between Sheriff and Bartendar? You should be topmost in this category, for your very helpful answers to all ranchers.
Thanks Swathi, I know you got passed with good %. Are you preparing for SCJD?

Not now Thiru. Its very hard to work on something and spend all evenings and weekends studying something else. Also I have other things to take care of. Although I am keeping in touch with javaranch to collect the feedback about materials etc. but I will think about the next step only after 2 months that might be SCWCD or Oracle Developer.
Why did you decide SCJP first then SCWCD I think SCWCD will take less time to prepare. Am i right?
Wish you all the best for future exams.

Thanks Swathi,
I don't have an idea rightnow regarding SCWCD or SCJD. I thought of starting SCJD. I think I need some expert ranchers advice in this. Can other ranchers who has taken or preparing these 2 exams suggest me which one is worth taking after completing SCJP?
Expecting Your earliest reply.
Thanks.

The Developer Certification forum would be a good start...
http://www.javacert.com contains some links too...

Thanks Valentin,
Definitely Javaranch SCJD is a good start. I found the Dallas SCJD study group is also good.
Can anyone answers my other question? Which one will be worth taking after SCJP either SCJD or SCWCD?
Thanks Again.

Is that true? I've seen that most of the ranchers here go for SCWCD after getting SCJP. I'm preparing for the programmers exam... but I'm very familiar with servlets, jsp's, beans, etc..

Thanks Andres and Mari.

Yes Andres. Even I am familier with those stuff. So, still I am not in a clear idea about choosing either SCJD or SCWCD. I am actually waiting some opinion from the people who has taken or preparing for both the exams.
Anyone???
