Hello everyone,
I took the 1.2 (or is it 1.3) version of the exam on Friday here in Nigeria and passed with a disappointing score of 74%. I thought I was going to get something in the region of 90%. I guess I am not as good as I thought I was. I had problems with the test though. The exam got frozen 3 times and I had to use 4 different PCs. The time running on the exam was still indicating that I hadn't lost anytime on the test but on the central timing whatever, I had lost all the time I should have used in reviewing the tests. I didn't even bother to complain as I was convinced that I'd have gotten the same thing anyway. I think there is ample time as I finished with almost an hour to go.
From my experience, passing the exam doesn't all say you know everything. I am now trying to collaborate on some open source projects to gain practical experience. It was then I got to see the benefits 4of the grueling study for certification. You just seem to know almost all the rules. By the time one passes the exam, you find out that you are a walking compiler. Some of the most helpful things that got me really ready for the exam are the loads of materials you could get online, including the mock.
