SCJP 1.4 Beta certificate anyone?

Has anyone received SCJP 1.4 Beta certficate? I just received my score report by postal mail. I am wondering if I'll be getting it, because I don't see this as an event qued in the CertManager.

Hi Manish,
I received my Certificate on Friday. With a nice little lapel badge as well. The Certificate was sent from the States. Im based in the UK... if that gives any help regarding aprx time to reach you depending on where you are in the world.

Got my certificate last week. It looks suspiciously like the other one that I have. Oh yeah - it has that little 1.4 note on it .
Trying to talk my boss into getting this one framed also :roll: .

So did u guys get a plain mail from thomson prometric before that only delivering ur score report? Also, do u ppl have this event entry in ur CertManager? I am in India, so I guess I'll have to wait a little longer to receive mine.

I am in India and I got cerificate on monday
I got my thomson prometric mark list 3 weeks
before.
Everithing is entered in CERTMANAGER as earlier
SCJP-2.

I received mine as well just last Monday.
The only difference between the original 1.2 exam and the new one is of course the 1.4 wording.

Manish, Is this Beta 1.4 available in India ?
and if yes then how to appear for it and how is it different from SCJP 1.2 ? As per Sun Site SCJP1.4 will be available in August-2002 only.
pls clarify this with relevant details.

Piyush,
SCJP 1.4 Beta was offered by Sun as a beta test for selected period, which had 161 questios and 4 hours question paper. It is not available anymore as beta, you'll need to take the test by paying the amount when it is made available by Sun.
SCJP 1.4 does not contain AWT and IO which was a part of the earlier SCJP 2.

Well you know you can always get a nice frame for $3 at Target I actually did this!
By the way, did you get a lapel pin too? A previous poster from UK indicated they got a lapel pin with the certificate, and in the study material for the exam it did mention this as well, but alas my certificate arrived sans lapel pin!!

Hey, I got a pin too! Same as the one I got for the old certification, no 1.2 or 1.4 there
Check the package again, it might be hiding somewhere!

Yes.
I did get mine yesterday, with the lapel pin as well. It indeed looks like the one I already have. Will have to wait for logo now! Actually, I am still waiting for a logo of prev certification, which I did in March and sent the contract to them in the last week of April. Haven't heard anything from them since. Is there a mail ID or sth that can be contacted for the logo?
