Hi, all:
I just passed SCJP1.4. Even though passing grade is very lower, I still feel surprised by myself. I only have ten days to prepare.
Exam itself is not that hard, but somehow tricky. Garbage coleection I got 0%, i feel it is hard for me. I got the highest mark in Thread. Thread is not hard at all.
Good luck.

Hi Paul,
Congratulations! I'm going to write next week. In regards to threads, are the questions confusing or concentrated on methods? I'm a bit worried about thread since there seems to be alot of people saying they are difficult.

Hi,
I got 7-8 questions in Thread(?). Half of them are the concept based on the basic function: wait(), notify(), etc. Be careful don't be confused by the normal run() with the run() of the Threads. 2-3 of them are very long code, however, please consider the order of the object, and make sure you understand synchorized(), start(), run().
I do recomend JQ+ and RHE's book, and Marcus Green's mock. The difficulty of thread somehow like JQ+, and a little bit harder than Marcus Green's. I bought JQ+, however, I only got one day to do 4 of 10 tests. That's the reason my passing rate is so low.
I did feel the actual exam was very similar with the combination of the JQ+ and Marcus Green's. If you want to get the high mark, you are better to do some coding in thread.
By the way, I have less than 2 years coding experiences.
Any concern will be welcome.

Thanks alot Paul that's really helpful! I just printed out Marcus' exams and I'm going to go through them this week. I've been using RHE too.
