I have over 5 years Java programming experience.
Prepared for a week. Last day was serious - took some mock exams ( Marcus, jiris.com etc ). Always scored around 80%. Mainly never used the full time during mock exams.
Actual exam was as tough as mock exams.

"Passed Easily"...
What do you want a medal?
I get sick of people like you, who pass an exam and then think they can impress people even more by claiming how easy they found it. Do you think people are more impressed if they believe your claim about how easy you found it?
Grow Up!

Arthur and Ulysses... this is the "Certification results" forum. If someone passed the test easily then I want to know that if I'm going to take the test. He says he has 5 years experience with Java. I would hope that the test would be easy for someone with that kind of experience! You guys definitely need to lighten up. Maybe you should stay out of this forum.

Knowing the amount of experience, the amount of preparation, and how hard a person found the exam to be can be quite helpful for others studying for the exam.
If all you know is that someone had very little experience, studied for 6 months and passed, it doesn't tell you if 6 months was just enough, or overkill. Knowing that they found it easy is just one more bit of information another person can use in there own studies.
The people that post their results are doing it for two reasons, to let others know how they went about preparing and also to get a well-deserved pat on the back. It is people like Padhu that help others prepare for their own exam. If people are afraid to post their results for fear of being labeled a braggart or being ridiculed then that devaules the entire forum as well the site itself.
As Thomas said, if you don't want to read what others are saying then stay out of the forum. I can guarantee there are many more who do want to read it than those who don't.

People don't come here to listen to that crap, they want to hear about tips and advice on passing the test.

Aren't you the same person who wrote this:

Congratulations on your SCJP.
Thanks for describing all your efforts in preparing for the test. It motivates me to study more, when I read people success stories.
Good luck on your SCWCP.

Thomas and Dave: The point here is not about someone sharing their experience of passing the exam. But rather pradhu bragging about how easy it was. You guys need to lighten up a bit...

Bragging would be more than a passing reference that hey felt the exam was easy. Calling what Padhu said bragging would be like saying that someone that says 'I found the test difficult' is complaining that it is too hard.
The problem here is that it all comes down to how a person interprets hat another one says. We obviously aren't going to agree on that point. how about we all agree that if you dont want to read something ythat bothers you you stop reading the posts in this forum. If, by accident, you read something that you don't like then try to refrain from making a post that contributes nothing to the conversation.
If you'd like to discuss this subject further then you should open a topic in MD and debate it there. We've already spent too much time on the discussion here, where it doesn't belong.
As Thumpers dad said, if you can't say anything nice then dont say anything at all. - unless you're in MD, but there are limits there too.

I apologize if I sounded to be bragging. I said I cleared easily more in comparison to how I performed in the mock exams. Of the 5-6 mock exams I took, my average was 77%. And the questions were tougher in the mock exams when compared to the actual test. So getting 91% was better than I expected.
To give more detail about the exam:
1. There were atleast 5 trick questions. ie, the code would not compile more because of the syntax being wrong although it almost looks right.
2. I found questions of Threads to be confusing. It could be because I dont have much experience in multi-threaded apps.
3. There were a couple of questions where you were told to choose one answer, but two were correct - atleast it depended on the way you interpret the question.
4. I used the full 2 hours. That helped me as I corrected atleast 4 questions during revision.

Thanks
