Hi guys,
I checked my result today and i found out that i have passed scjd, but only with 81%.
Following is my score:
Test: Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform (310-027)
Date Taken: 2002-10-22 09:16:26.450
Registration Number:
Site:
Grade: P
Score: 126
Comment: This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section and the actual number of points you were awarded. This is provided to give you per-section feedback on your strengths. The maximum possible number of points is 155; the minimum to pass is 124. Section Summary Report: General Considerations: Maximum=58 Deductions=0 Actual=58 Documentation: Maximum=20 Deductions=5 Actual=15 GUI: Maximum=24 Deductions=4 Actual=20 Server: Maximum=53 Deductions=20 Actual=33 Total: Maximum=155 Deductions=29 Certification Score=126
As you can see i have lost 20 points on my server side. They gave me full score in general considerations but still they have cut 20 points on server side. These seems confusing.
Moreover i had took my exam on 4th of this month not on 22nd. So how the Date Taken is 22nd of this month.
Can anybody clarify.
Any suggetions ??
Anyway I would like to thank Michael, Mark, Nate and all those who helped me achieve this coveted certification.

Congrats Vishal. Don't think about the score. I think it would be great if they assign our assignment to one assessor and we would discuss our design rather than just uploading.
Good luck

Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for all the encouragement.
Now I am really proud of being a scjd after so many months of patient labor.
I will now attempt scjea.
Thanks again.

Hi Mark,
Thanks a lot. You have helped me from the very begining in getting this certification.
By the way guys, now i am a scjp and scjd. Now i believe that my next target should be either scjea or xml cert. or oops cert.
Which one would be better and give me an edge.
Any suggetions.

Vishal,
I am going with SCJEA but I've heard they are doing to change spec for SCJEA early next year. So I am thinking to go with SCWD for now and next year start SCJEA.

congrats vishal for passing the exam...
but it's relly unlikely that you lost so many points in server design (and yet could manage to pass due to solidity in other areas). Forget about the evaluation mechanism and start looking forward...so lot to do in coming years...
I wish I could even pass by 1% margin like you! BTW, I am a beta tester of SCJD1.4 like some others here...

Congratulations, Vishal!
Who in the end is asking for the number of points you achieved? What really counts is experience - and having passed the exam means you have acquired this experience! And that's what really counts.

what sort of questions did they have on the essay exam? I am taking the essay in 3 days?
